Drive-By Truckers announce benefit for Nuçi's Space!

(New album) BRIGHTER THAN CREATION'S DARK will be in stores (and download) CD and 2 Record Set Vinyl on Tuesday January 22, 2008 (Monday January 21, 2008 in Europe).

THE INTERNATIONAL HOME FRONT TOUR kicks off with an American Sneak Peak on January 10th when we will be playing the album live in its entirely (for maybe the only time, certainly a rare event at best) as a benefit for our most cherished cause, Nuçi's Space Musician's Resource Center in Athens GA.
The event will be held at The Fabulous 40 Watt Club in Athens.
There will be another band or two (TBA) and we will play the album live at Midnight.
All proceeds will go to the worthy cause (read about it at http://www.nuci.org/)

Stab the Cook: Remix

The Last Stab
Clarke Central students Michael Crowe, Chris Miller and Chrismon Hinsch are ... or were Stab the Cook. Their final show was a benefit for Nuçi's Space last Friday (11.16.07) and was also their CD release for their debut album.

The benefit concert raised tons of $$ (not literally tons but a lot of money) for our counseling assistance program. The guys in the band graciously donated their proceeds from their CD sales as well.

We are saddened by the death of Ted Hafer, and our thoughts are with his family.
Ted's death has impacted the entire community.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Community Art Show

Nuçi's Space is seeking original art inspired by the following quote:

"Even the darkest of shadows cannot be borne without light."

If you are interested in submitting artwork, please contact david@nuci.org for more info.

Art will be on display at Nuçi's Space to benefit the Space and to raise awareness about our mission.

We encourage artists from the entire Athens community (including: professionals, high school and college students, beginners, and retirees).

The artist has the option of selling their art and allotting a portion of the proceeds to benefit Nuçi's Space.

$5 admission charge for the public

All ages event.

All art is due by Wednesday November 28th.
