This is an awareness campaign to support the 1 in 6 men who had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood. The 1BlueString campaign is simple. We are asking guitarists, at all levels, to replace their low E (top) guitar string with one of our free blue guitar strings to symbolize the 1 in 6 men.
The Cottage and Nuci’s Space is holding an event with musicians and supporters to kick off the 1BlueString campaign at Nuci’s Space on March 7th from 5:30-7pm. We would like to invite musicians to play, speakers to speak and supporters to join with us. The focus of this campaign is to create a dialogue around the issue of childhood sexual abuse of men, with the hope of DE-stigmatizing the issue and reaching more people who may be dealing with the effects of abuse as adults.
This will be a great night of stories and celebrations and it is FREE!
