Underage Music Night: This is all ages show featuring performers of all ages. Connelly Crowe Band is a teen outfit, with members ranging in age from about 16 to 17. Lead singer Connelly has an amazingly refined voice for age, with a strong, crystal clear. The group's breezy but soulful acoustic pop is inspired by artists like Sheryl Crow, John Mayer and Tom Petty. Also on the bill tonight are local powerpop bands Doctor Squid and The Warm Fuzzies who are both fueled by a big dose of Weezer. (Nuçi's Space, Saturday 21)
Also in this week's Flagpole, Nuçi’s Space founder Linda Phillips gets a mention in this awesome feature on local band Bloodkin. Their new album is getting rave reviews from all over, including Pitchfork and even Rolling Stone.
