1BlueString Campaign - Performers Needed: March 7th

This is an awareness campaign to support the 1 in 6 men who had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood. The 1BlueString campaign is simple. We are asking guitarists, at all levels, to replace their low E (top) guitar string with one of our free blue guitar strings to symbolize the 1 in 6 men.
The Cottage and Nuci’s Space is holding an event with musicians and supporters to kick off the 1BlueString campaign at Nuci’s Space on March 7th from 5:30-7pm. We would like to invite musicians to play, speakers to speak and supporters to join with us. The focus of this campaign is to create a dialogue around the issue of childhood sexual abuse of men, with the hope of DE-stigmatizing the issue and reaching more people who may be dealing with the effects of abuse as adults.
This will be a great night of stories and celebrations and it is FREE!

Looking for bands for benefit concert

Music Learning Community is sponsoring Hump Day Unplugged*, a benefit concert
for Nuçi's Space on April 2 in the University Chapel at 7:00 p.m.
HDU* is an acoustic concert that needs groups/bands
that can perform without amplification in the Chapel, one of the finest venues
on the UGA campus.

Camp Amped AfterSchool 2014
We're happy to announce that we'll be running another Camp Amped After School session
during March. Please help us spread the word to young musicians in the area.
