Already young.

(Erin Gillin and Jeff Miller: photos)

Esquire loves The Whigs: it's true. They handed drummer Julian Dorio an "Esquie" as the World's Best Drummer... this year it's this review from SXSW:

"The Whigs are hands-down the best band playing at SXSW this year. They bring it hard. They bring it fast. They bring it in the middle of the day when you least expect a band to bring it. They're the reason why SXSW exists. Go buy their record. Go see them live. "

Communities are using the arts to help spur economic development, and citizens have a growing menu of arts options. Full article is available here.

Also, here's an external sample of the people, organizations, institutions and venues that make up the state’s arts community, compiled by Georgia Trend’s editorial staff.
